Comparative Analysis of English Classes in Chinese and American Primary Schools Based on Videos of Open Classes

This paper investigates the differences and similarities between English open class recordings of Chinese American elementary schools by using video analysis, media data transcription method, statistical method. The samples are all excellent classroom examples. class, “Danny’s Summer Vacation”, is selected from “The Eighth Collection Open Lessons for Primary Schools”. public lesson “Informational Text” “Original Elementary Based on classes, this analyses teachers’ verbal language, non-verbal tone, speech rate, teaching methods, process, environment, atmosphere separately. comparative shows that richer in preparation activities than teaching, but content simple, almost entirely based textbook content, less meaningful practical application.
